I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
